Rosehill Gardens Racecourse will be home to much excitement with the 2011 Coolmore Classic set to take place on Saturday March 19, 2011.
The Coolmore Stud Classic is worth $600,000 and is one of two Group 1 Races to be run on the day.
Run under quality handicap conditions, the Coolmore Classic is a 1,500 metre race open to fillies and mares aged three-years-old and up.
The Group 3 Millie Fox Stakes, which takes place on Saturday February 26, 2011, is a good lead up race to the Coolmore Classic for punters to watch.
Horses that compete in the 1,300 metre fillies and mares race will often go on to compete in the Coolmore Classic.
Both Gai Waterhouse’s More Joyous and Trevor Whittington’s Femina Fashion are tipped to contest the title of the 2011 Coolmore Classic.
Duncan Grimley, racing manager for More Joyous’ owner John Singleton, appeared confident about the direction they are going to take with their esteemed mare.
“The Doncaster is her main aim but we may go to Melbourne first and run her through the Futurity before coming back [to Sydney] for the Coolmore Classic and Queen of the Turf,” said Mr Grimley.
Betting markets for all of these races and more can be found with online bookmakers such as Luxbet.
Typhoon Tracy, Peter Moody’s champion mare, is also tipped to run in the 2011 Coolmore Classic despite having failed to win her last four starts during her 2010 spring campaign.
Nominations for the 2011 Coolmore Classic will be released closer to the race date and betting and future odds will be available at Luxbet.
