Ghisoni remains clear $4.60 favourite in 2016 Coolmore Classic betting markets with Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Solicit and Azkadellia; currently sharing the second line at generous $5.50 quotes.

Will Ghisoni justify favouritism and win the 2016 Coolmore Classic or will one of her talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Azkadellia ($5.50)

Azkadellia has returned to racing in slick form and will leave from the ideal barrier 4 in the Coolmore Classic with only 53kgs in tow. Posting five wins and as many minors through eleven career starts so far, the Shinko King mare capped a strong spring preparation third in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m) and resumed this time for second in the Group 3 Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) on February 13th. Having savaged the line for success in the Group 3 Mannerism Stakes (1400m) last time out, Azkadellia will relish a step-up to 1500m and has been confirmed to be partnered by notable hoop Brett Prebble.

2nd

Lucia Valentina ($16)

Two-time Group 1 winner Lucia Valentina is a noted first-up performer and undoubtedly offers punters the best value for money at a quote of $16 for success. Posting a number of commendable performances through her spring carnival campaign, Lucia Valentina charged home to win the Group 2 Matriarch Stakes (2000m) on November 7th before a trip abroad heralded a credible fifth in the Group 1 Hong Kong Cup (2000m) in December. Having trialled particularly well in the lead-up to her return, the Savabeel mare is sure to be given a gem of a ride by leading hoop James McDonald.

3rd

Peeping ($14)

Peeping is a strong and consistent performer and should relish the 1500m of the 2016 Coolmore Classic with regular hoop Sam Clipperton in the saddle and only 53.5kgs. Winning the Group 2 Golden Pendant (1400m) most notably in spring, the Redoute’s Choice mare resumed this time for second in the Group 3 Triscay Stakes (1200m) before running on for third in the Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes (1400m) a fortnight ago. Perhaps requiring some luck in transit from barrier 10, Peeping is undoubtedly up to the class of this race.
